Places to Be is a String Quartet Album of 18 pieces, each between 3 to 4 minutes long, sequenced in alternating allegros and adagios, based on eighteen ideas picked from a personal list of favorite things. Each work was designed having in mind both the string quartet and future pieces of longer duration for larger ensembles and orchestra. Keys were carefully chosen for the best fitting tone, to accentuate the essential meaning and integrity of each piece. All ideas relate to time spent in nature, feeling life’s natural flow, calmly listening to the peace of the living world, where it is often easier to be present and filled with space.
